THE CONCEPT OF “LINGUOCULTURAL TYPE" IN ITS CORRELATION WITH OTHER CONCEPTS IN THE HUMANITIES SYSTEM
Abstract
This article deals with the principles and general factors that make the theoretical basis for semantic-cognitive study of an artistic expression concept “linguocultural type”. In order to complete this task, there was done a survey on theoretical research papers about a key concept of linguistics – “linguocultural type”, which research papers in modern linguistics are gaining popularity. Along with this, the article proves and determines what linguistics is and what place it occupies in the paradigm of linguistic sciences. The article describes a series of existing approaches and the classification, which is usually used in the study of “linguocultural type” concept. The comparison of the “linguocultural type” concept with basic concepts of modern scientific paradigms in system of humanities enables the understanding of its more detailed and the most accurate modern interpretation. Also, the studying of this question involves an analysis of research approaches in relevant scientific fields – cultural linguistics, gender linguistics, linguistic personology and determination of the cognitive approach benefits – the interpretation of the concept “linguocultural type” in order to establish its correlation with concepts such as “type”, “cultural concept”, “gender stereotype”, “linguistic identity”, “model person”, etc., in the humanities system. So, speculating about the humanities system integration today, a well-known factor in justifying the relevance of certain research projects in linguistics is its close cooperation with such sciences as psychology, sociology, literary studies, cultural studies, etc. Since, the theory of linguocultural types is a development of the linguistic identity theory within linguistics as a science; it also synthesizes the achievement of linguistics, literature, sociology, psychology and cultural studies that is why it may be studied from the point of any humanitarian sciences paradigm of knowledge.
