Abstract

This article delves into the examination of the influence of parental figures, specifically the father and mother, on the development of O. Zhovna’s psychopoetic structure. The research sheds light on the relevant aspects of the interplay between the family environment, the creative evolution of the individual, and the writer’s psychosocial realm. The methodology of psychopoetics is employed as a means of indirectly investigating the psychopersona of the artist through the analysis of his megatext. The article emphasizes the necessity of analyzing the psychological aspects of O. Zhovna’s biography, particularly establishing connections with his mother and father, for a comprehensive understanding of the characteristic features of the writer’s psychoportrait. It discusses contemporary psychopoetic studies that scrutinize the role of parental figures in shaping specific facets of O. Zhovna’s aspects of personality. Psychopoetics is highlighted as a tool that allows a more complete vision of the author’s personality by merging literary, psychological, and psychoanalytic methodologies. The primary objective of the article is to analyze the psychopoetic mechanisms that reveal the role of O. Zhovna’s parents in his artistic self-identification. The study aims to examine the structure of the writer’s psychosocial realm and its reception through biographical, autobiographical, and interpretative perspectives, as manifested in his literary works, films, and memories comprising his megatext. The psychosocial structure of the writer and its reception are scrutinized from various angles, encompassing biographical, autobiographical, and interpretative dimensions. It is noted that the neglect or omission of the father's image in O. Zhovna’s works signifies internal conflict, alienation, and a negative Oedipus complex. The idealized portrayal of the mother, characterized by unconditional love and forgiveness, indicates the writer’s closeness to his own mother and a potential sense of guilt towards her. The article concludes by emphasizing that the prospects for further research involve the analysis of additional components of O. Zhovna’s psychopoetic matrix. This will facilitate the reconstruction of his psychosocial structure based on discoveries within his literary works and other components of his megatext.
