VARIETIES OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE ARE OBSERVED IN THE NOVEL BY J.W.GOETHE “THE SORROW OF YOUNG VERTER”
Abstract
The forms of reproduction of author’s speech and foreign speech and their stylistic functionality are analyzed. Major amendment is focused on analysis of the individual style of the author.Varieties of foreign language in the novel by J.W.Goethe “The sorrow of young Verter”. The author of the article emphasizes that in the novel there is a variety of stylistic functionality of the forms of reproduction of the author’s and a foreign language. Attention is focused on the fact that in description of a foreign language the dialogical speech plays an important role. It is mentioned that an effective form of reproduction of the foreign language is an improper-direct speech which is an integral part of the author’s style in the novel by J.W.Goethe "The sorrow of young Verter”. Improper-direct speech appears in the studied text by the way of psychologization and dramatization of events and actions of the main characters. An important role in this aspect plays an inner monologue. Conducted analysis of the varieties of foreign speech in the novel by J.W. Goethe gives the opportunity to claim that the choice of the form of broadcasting the language characteristics of the character due to the content of the work and the author's language strategies and individuality of linguistic style of J.W.Goethe suggests a variety of stylistic functionality of the forms of reproduction of the author’s and foreign speech. Author's speech is represented in the novel both from the author and the narrator’s sides. In the description of a foreign language dialogical speech plays an important role. An effective form of reproduction of the foreign speech in the novel is an improper-direct speech.
