VERBALIZATION OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT IN GERMAN VIDEO MESSAGES ON DEUTSCHE WELLE AND YOUTUBE
Abstract
The article is devoted to linguistic analysis, especially, the features of the means of verbalization of innovation processes, highlighted in German video messages, in which information is transmitted through a combination of verbal and nonverbal components. All researched and analyzed videos were published on Deutsche Welle and YouTube in the period from 2015 to 2021. The number of German videos on innovation is constantly increasing due to the continuous technological progress of society. For the time being, modern media plays a major role in reflecting the current reality and is diverse. There is used a variety of vocabulary to form certain ideas. Media text is multi-layered text that combines different semiotic codes (image and word). Video message is an example of media text, through which the process of integrating any society into the world community becomes possible, and which helps to achieve the establishment of effective intercultural interaction. The article deals with polycode text and video messages as an example of polycode text. Particular attention is paid to the features of the means of verbalization of innovation processes in German videos. The video messages, which reflect the subject of innovation development, are different in their semantics, but the analyzed vocabulary allows drawing conclusions about the ways of realization of the means of innovation process verbalization. However, the pragmatic intentions of media text authors and innovation developers were also taken into account, which are not only to inform about innovations, but also to induce the recipient to certain reflections and actions. Descriptive, statistical, hypothetico-deductive, inductive methods were used to conduct the research. The descriptive method was used to work with theoretical material. The hypothetico-deductive method was used to collect the factual material of the research, the inductive method – for the linguistic analysis. The research has an interdisciplinary character and contributes to the formation of an idea about the role of innovation, the volume of investments and the priority of research areas.
